On November 27, 2020, the National Business and Management Conference was held online.
During the conference PHINMA President, Mr. Ramon R. Del Rosario Jr., the son of former ambassador for Germany, Ramon V. Del Rosario, Sr. (RVR). As it is his name in the DLSU-RVR-College of Business, it is nice to know insights that may come from his son.

It was nice to know how they think during the time of need amid the covid-19 pandemic, and what actions they perform to be able to strive amid the economic effect of the pandemic.
In his perspective, the pandemic should not define the upcoming decades. Pandemic or no pandemic, everyone should continue the pursuit of a better world. More important concerns like Climate change, poverty, and business greed. Are more important concerns that must be addressed.
In response to the pandemic, the PHINMA group adjusted to the work-from-home arrangements. To respond to the needs of those most affected, they responded to the health crisis through “PHINMA reaches out 2020”.
From March to November they have already donated Php6.5M worth of Personal Protection Equipment to front line workers and, Php 14.4M worth of groceries, goods, and another food pack for the vulnerable communities. And Php 11.7M worth of assistance to no-work-no-pay staff.
According to Phinma data, around 72,000 individuals from the underserved youth of the Philippines and Indonesia must be closely looked at. Because closing schools even briefly may shutter access to education permanently due to factors out of their control. To help curb this. They partnered with Telco providers to provide cheap internet data and by the provision of gadgets and paper modules to the students.
Even during these trying times, it was nice to know that people who have the capability, are exerting efforts to help those most vulnerable and actually enable them to have a better future.
As a Lasallian, the decisions that Mr. Ramon R. Del Rosario Jr. performed during this pandemic should be emulated by every Lasallian. Because it goes into the most vulnerable people most affected by the pandemic.
